For the second time in as many years, the Brewers have opened their season with a sweep of the Pirates. While the first series of 2005 lasted just two games and featured a pair of decisive victories by the visiting Crew, this year’s series was hotly contested and required some timely hitting and nail-biting outings by closer Derrick Turnbow to secure the sweep.
