On Monday afternoon, the Brewers fell to the Cardinals as the two teams christened the new Busch Stadium, a beautiful state-of-the-art facility built alongside the park of the same name that had served as the team’s home since 1966. The meeting marked the third time in Milwaukee’s franchise history that the Brewers have been part of the debut of an opposing club’s stadium. On each of the first two occasions, the Crew managed to pull out a close victory.
