After salvaging game three of a tough series at Wrigley against the Cubs, Milwaukee will host the rival Pirates for a trio of games this Fourth of July Weekend. The holiday matchups at Miller Park feature a promotion before each of the games. Friday’s opener is “Battle of Brewers Logos T-Shirt” Night and will allow fans to choose between a T-shirt featuring the old “ball and glove” logo or the current “M” logo. On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans will be given a “Spirit Band” and everyone will be able to enjoy a postgame fireworks show. Finally, kids 16-and-under will be receive a Doug Davis mini bobblehead as they enter the park on Sunday.

The Bucs come to town in something of a tailspin, having been swept by the Nationals, and are now two-and-a-half games behind the Astros and Brewers (who sit in a tie for third place in the National League Central). Pittsburgh has lost 15 of their last 21 road games and are 17-24 away from PNC Park this season. The Brewers, meanwhile, have posted a 21-15 record at Miller Park and are 5-5 over their last ten games.
