Talk about bad luck. In his first three starts of the season, right-hander Brett Tomko had picked up three losses while his team scored a grand total of three runs behind him. Not that he deserved a whole lot more, mind you. Over that same span, Tomko had surrendered 14 runs, all but one of them earned, 23 hits, and nine walks and had lasted just 17 and a third innings.

On Saturday, the 32-year old native of Euclid, Ohio got things turned around on both fronts, as his mates tallied six runs and he held the Brewers to just two in six and a third innings as the Giants claimed game two of the three-game set.
