The Brewers continued to prune their roster this week by reassigning six players to minor league camp and granting another his release. While their eventual assignments could still change prior to Opening Day, left-handers Andy Pratt and Jeff Housman, right-hander Jeff Bennett, and outfielder Nelson Cruz were optioned to Triple-A Nashville, right-hander Luis Peña was sent to High-A Brevard County, and outfielder Brad Nelson was dispatched to Double-A Huntsville while left-hander Rigo Beltran was granted his release. The moves leave 42 players in Milwaukee’s big league camp including 19 pitchers and twelve non-roster invitees.
