It finally happened: the Milwaukee Brewers won a baseball game.

<p>"Like I told them after the game," skipper Ned Yost said, "'That's over. Let's move on to bigger and better things.' It is a big burden that you carry every day. ... You're getting these sympathy phone calls every day, people telling you, 'Hang in there, you're all right.' So, I'm glad that's over. No more sympathy phone calls."</p>
    <p>During their twelve-game losing streak, the club saw a progression of starting pitchers climb the hill with victory on their mind only to finish in need of some sympathy. <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=231" title="Ben Sheets - BrewerFan.net Profile">Ben Sheets</a></b>, <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=631" title="Chris Capuano - BrewerFan.net Profile">Chris Capuano</a></b>, <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=600" title="Doug Davis - BrewerFan.net Profile">Doug Davis</a></b>, <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=590" title="Wes Obermueller - BrewerFan.net Profile">Wes Obermueller</a></b>, and <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=636" title="Victor Santos - BrewerFan.net Profile">Victor Santos</a></b> went through the rotation twice without succeeding, and Sheets and <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=16" title="Ben Hendrickson - BrewerFan.net Profile">Ben Hendrickson</a></b> upped that tally to a dozen with two more losses.</p>
    <p>On Tuesday night at Miller Park, it took a fresh face to finally end the disheartening string of defeats. A pinch of Doug Davis, a bit of <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=534" title="Dave Burba - BrewerFan.net Profile">Dave Burba</a></b>, a full serving of <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=649" title="Matt Wise - BrewerFan.net Profile">Matt Wise</a></b>, a dash of <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=371" title="Pedro Liriano - BrewerFan.net Profile">Pedro Liriano</a></b>, and equal parts <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=289" title="Luis Vizcaino - BrewerFan.net Profile">Luis Vizcaino</a></b> and <b><a href="http://www.brewerfan.net/ViewPlayerProfile.do?playerId=525" title="Dan Kolb - BrewerFan.net Profile">Dan Kolb</a></b> combined to form a particularly satisfying blend of Johnny Wholestaff, just what the Brewers needed to end their funk and get back in the win column.</p>
