Ben Hendrickson finally showed the kind of stuff he displayed while dominating the International League, but it wasn’t enough to end the Brewers’ losing streak. In front of 23,512 fans at Miller Park, he put together his best start as a big leaguer and kept his team in the game, but the Pirates prevailed 5-1.

    <p>Daryle Ward did all of the damage for Pittsburgh.  The 29-year old former top prospect of the Houston Astros has had something of a breakout season, posting a .271 average and 858 OPS in 55 games with the Pirates.  He slugged two mammoth home runs on Monday night in Milwaukee, two-run and three-run shots, respectively, and single-handedly extended Milwaukee's losing streak to twelve games.</p>
