With four off-days in the month of August, the Brewers opted to send right-hander Ben Hendrickson back to Triple-A on Sunday so that he will receive a full complement of starts. In his place, Milwaukee has recalled infielder Trent Durrington from Indianapolis.

The organization’s top pitching prospect, Hendrickson struggled in four starts at the big league level but showed improvement his last two times out. Despite a five inning, three run start at home against the Cubs, Hendrickson will head back to the International League with an 0-4 record and 8.47 ERA. It was certainly not the way he would have liked to begin his big league career, but the experience was nonetheless valuable.
