After thirteen starts and two relief appearances, the Brewers have decided that Wes Obermueller would be better off honing his craft at Triple-A. The key, the organization believes, is to give the 27-year old right-hander regular work in a low-pressure environment.

Obermueller, acquired last season from the Royals as part of the Curtis Leskanic trade, won a rotation spot in Spring Training but has been burdened by an inconsistent pitching schedule. As the club’s fifth starter, the Iowa-alum has seen his turn skipped on numerous occasions and has averaged only four starts a month.
