With the rainout last night, the Brewers haven’t played a televised game since last Sunday. In fact, the club hasn’t been on TV since Ben Sheets’ last start… and he’ll go again tonight. In other words, we got through almost an entire turn of the rotation without a televised game. How often does that happen?
Apparently, the Expos are finally going to find a new home next season when they move to Washington, DC. That was the destination I’ve favored from the beginning. Not only does our nation’s capital deserve the national pastime, but as a former resident of DC I have a special fondness for the city. Hopefully the relocation will go through without a hitch and the days of rain-soaked road trips to Double-A stadiums with no TV coverage and 1,000 people in the stands will finally end.
It can’t happen soon enough.
